First ever Hursley 10km Cross Country Race - Sunday 23rd September

A main race of 10km starting at 10am followed by a kids 1 mile fun run at 12pm.

		It's probably fair to say that this year's Ropley 10K was run in somewhat damp conditions ! The rain did little to dampen the spirits of a very strong turn-out nor did it deter the supporters – who’s encouragement willed the entrants on to very respectable times in the circumstances. Thurs 17 May 2007 - Postal Entry Closed

We have some 430 entries to date for the 10k event, so entries will be allowed on the day up to the maximum of 500. If you do want to register on the day, please arrive early (registration in the village hall is open from 9.00am) to ensure your place.

Entries on the day will cost £12.00 for unaffiliated runners and £10.00 for affiliated UKA club runners. Entries on the day for the children’s events (registration in the sports pavilion opens at 9.00am) will cost £3.00 for the Fun Run and £2.00 for the Dash.

Registrations for the 10k close at 10.45am and for the children’s races at 10.00am.

REMINDER: Race Numbers for the 10k event are collectable on the day (with the exception of children’s race numbers which will be posted), as timing chips will be attached, so please allow plenty of time to get to the event and collect your number prior to the race. You will have been sent confirmation of your race number with your race information programme.

CHECK IT OUT ON THE DAY … IN THE VILLAGE HALL
Have your running gait checked by an Asics technical expert using their video camera analysis equipment and find the perfect shoe for you.

Just-Run will be on hand with a range of footwear for sale.

Pre and post race massage will also be available.

For pre-registered entrants (10k and children’s events), please note that the race information programme will be posted to you week commencing 14 May 2007.

Race Numbers for the 10k event are collectable on the day (with the exception of children’s race numbers which will be posted), as timing chips will be attached, so please allow plenty of time to get to the event and collect your number prior to the race.

Please take the time to read your race information programme as it contains important instructions regarding the event.

For those of you not yet registered – you have just one week left until the closing date of 16 May, after that entries will only be accepted on the day and will be subject to the £2.00 surcharge (children’s races excepted).

The 2007 Ropley 10K Road Race takes place on 27th May.

Help to reduce our administrative burden on race day, please submit your entry forms to the organisers by post - and save yourself £2 ! The closing date for postal entries is Wednesday 16th May 2007.

Entries will be permitted on the day, subject to a £2 surcharge and the maximum race limit of 500 being reached, race entries shall close promptly at 10.45am.
